October 17 - Rituals and Planning of the Sacrament of Confirmation
In this session we will look at the whole liturgy of the Confirmation mass, especially the rituals of the renewal of baptismal vows, laying on of hands, and anointing with chrism. There will also be the planning of the introduction, readings, gifts, prayers of the faithful, etc. The mass is a cooperative liturgy with Holy Family candidates, so not everyone may have an opportunity to have a particular role, however...we are all ACTIVE participants in the liturgy through our own prayer, posture, and actions of listening and responding.
